action medeor International Healthcare Tanzania

action medeor has set up action medeor International Healthcare, a non-profit GmbH (similar to a LTD) according to German law. Managing director of this subsidiary is Christoph Bonsman, who, at the same time, is head pharmacist at the headquarters in Tönisvorst. The Tanzanian office and warehouse for medical products was officially opened in Dar es Salaam in September 2005. Health care partners in Germany and Europe can order medicines and medical equipment for Tanzania via www.medeortz@medeortz.co.tz.

medeor strengthens local structures
All health stations and hospitals which previously ordered from the German headquarters now receive their supplies directly from Dar es Salaam. It is the aim of action medeor International Healthcare gGmbH to establish sustainable structures, so that health stations in Africa have a dependable source for obtaining essential medicines. The medicines are distributed via dispatch services or by bus.

We are grateful for donations!

action medeor International Healthcare Tanzania works for the non commercial sector of health care, such as church related institutions and national and international non profit organisations. The goal is to develop a supply network that supplements existing suppliers, always in cooperation with official channels. With your donation, you can support the work of action medeor in Tanzania.

Medeor: Fighting malaria

medeor is drawing attention to malaria with a Malaria Campaign.
In the spring of 2007, on the occasion of African Malaria Day, the German medical relief organisation, action medeor, launched its malaria campaign, which will span several years and is intended to draw the public’s attention to the plight caused by malaria in Africa: every 30 seconds an African child dies as a result of malaria.
